Buildings21 was founded by Petr Holub in 2021. Jana Odstrcilova has joined in 2022 and serves as the current director. The company provides consultancy for the low-carbon transformation of the Czech economy, especially in the energy and construction sectors. It promotes quality renovation of buildings and decarbonisation of the heating sector. It cooperates with European and national partners.

I have been working in PR and marketing communication for 15 years. Among my responsibilities belong preparation and implementation of communication strategies, media and public relations and content creating. I have worked as a specialist and as a team manager in the private sector, government, non-profit organizations and the public service radio.
I deal with topics in the field of small business, active lifestyle and HR, but I am especially close to the areas of education, schooling and sustainable development. I have 7 years of experience in education field and 5 years in the field of renewable energy and green buildings sector.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Humanities (PedF UJEP) and Master’s degree in Environmental Studies at Masaryk University in Brno.

He dedicates all his professional life to asserting sustainable energy solutions.
11 years he was a director of Chance for Buildings, a business alliance of Czech energy efficiency companies. Since 2010 he has built up this organisation into a respected player. Prior to that he served as an advisor to ministers and director of sustainable energy and transportation department at Ministry of Environment. He also worked in NGOs (mainly in Friends of the Earth CZ). As a consultant, he conducted tasks such as assessment of grant applications to EEA/Norway grants or assisted municipalities during their Covenant of Mayors journey.
Outside of Czechia, he often went to Brussels and take part in setting up the EU legislation and economic instruments. He has co-founded Central and Eastern European Energy Efficiency Forum (C4E Forum) and thus enlarged my activities into the wider region. In Romania he assisted in creating Roenef, an energy efficiency business association. For the European Commission he advised on adjusting energy efficiency framework in Ukraine.
He graduated physics (BSc) and Environmental Studies (MA) at Masaryk University in Brno.
At the end of April 2023 he moved to serve at the Czech Ministry of Environment, thus he is no longer involved in the management. He handed over the company to Jana Odstrcilova who continues to communicate possibilities and benefits of quality buildings.
